Volunteer

Interested in a volunteer job?

Then come join us at the Food Bank of Northern Indiana! You can bring a group or just yourself. We always have new and exciting projects for our volunteers. Some of those projects include our Food 4 Kids program, dating and sorting food donations, repackaging bread and other food products (both dry and frozen.)  Other projects include labeling, computer work, cleaning and organizing. In addition, we also pack holiday food boxes for the needy.

The Volunteer Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at our warehouse at 702. S. Chapin St. in South Bend. We have plenty of free parking and our location is on a TRANSPO bus route with a stop directly at the Food Bank. We have some of the best volunteers around, and our volunteers and groups always have lots of fun helping feed the hungry in St. Joseph, Elkhart, Kosciusko, Marshall, Starke and LaPorte counties.

In 2009, more than 1,000 volunteers spent over 7,300 hours of volunteer time here at the Food Bank of Northern Indiana. We thank everyone for their dedication, hard work and service to their community. We would not be able to serve the community and feed the hungry without your support. Please Join Us!
